Meet Ayoub
Founder & Surf Instructor
Hello! My name is Ayoub, I’m 30 years old, and I’m the heart behind Wave Nomad Surf Camp.
I was born and raised in the beautiful village of Tamraght, a peaceful surf town just north of Agadir. From the age of 12, I fell in love with the waves that crash along our coastline, and that love has shaped my life ever since.
What started as a passion for the ocean quickly turned into a lifestyle. For over two years, I’ve worked professionally as a surf instructor, helping others experience the same joy and connection that surfing gave me. From total beginners to more advanced riders, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching people from all walks of life.
Why I Started Wave Nomad
Wave Nomad was born out of a dream to share the magic of surfing and Moroccan hospitality with travelers from around the world. I wanted to create more than just a surf school or a camp. I wanted to make a home, a place where people feel free, welcome, and inspired to grow through new experiences.
Tamraght is surrounded by surf spots that suit all levels, from mellow beach breaks for beginners to world-famous points for seasoned surfers. That’s why this village is the perfect base to surf, explore, and connect.

More Than Just Surf
When I’m not in the water, you’ll often find me playing volleyball, my second passion! I love sharing it with guests, and if you’re up for a friendly game or want to learn some tricks, I’d be more than happy to join you (and I never charge for it 😊).
