Meet Ayoub – Founder & Head Surf Instructor
Hello! My name is Ayoub, I’m 30 years old, and I’m the heart behind Wave Nomad Surf Camp.
I was born and raised in the beautiful village of Tamraght, a peaceful surf town just north of Agadir in Taghazout Bay. From the age of 12, I fell in love with the waves that crash along our coastline, and that love has shaped my life ever since.
What started as a passion for the ocean quickly turned into a lifestyle. With over 10 years of surfing experience and professional certification as a surf instructor, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching people from all walks of life – from total beginners taking their first steps on a board to intermediate surfers looking to improve their technique.
Growing up in Tamraght gave me an intimate knowledge of every surf spot in the region. I know the tides, the swells, the secret spots, and exactly where to take you based on your skill level and the day’s conditions. This local expertise is something you can only get from someone who has surfed these waters their entire life.
Why I Started Wave Nomad Surf Camp
Wave Nomad was born out of a dream to share the magic of surfing and authentic Moroccan hospitality with travelers from around the world. I wanted to create more than just a surf school or a camp – I wanted to create a home away from home, a place where people feel free, welcome, and inspired to grow through new experiences.
